Ready for action, just need to refill the bottle. |
The back |
The rear of the vest has a gear cinch which is great for storing a jacket. There's also a large pocket which is for the 1-liter bladder. I've used other vests with larger bladders before and the 1-liter seems the right size. The bladder is made by Hydrapak and features a dry bag style closure, making it easy to open and refill.
The front of the vest has four pockets. 2 pockets are small and mainly considered for trash, but you could probably stick a gel in them, but there's a better spot for those. The 2 large pockets will fit a 17oz soft flask, or a plus size phone. One note, if you use bottles try to keep the weight even. It can get a little lopsided.

The inside |
Orange Mud has placed 2 velcro pockets on each side and that's where you want to store your gels or energy chews of choice. I could fit at least 3 gels in each side, so your set as far as energy is concerned.
So far I have really enjoyed running in the Orange Mud gear vest. I have tried other brands and Orange Mud seems to have hit the nail on the head with this one. If your in the market for a running vest, I would put this on your radar. You can go to www.orangemud.co mand save 15% with the code BRGV15.
See you next time and lace up and get out there!
